Time has come.

So over the last month I have finally come to terms with my own mortality. I am a trained chef. But unfortunately due to health issues that I have had for the past year keep me from cooking in a commercial kitchen or even start my own shop which I wanted to do before the apocalypse hit. I still enjoy cooking. I love cooking. Making people happy through food makes me happy.

To go off course a bit, there has also been a death in the family that hit me harder than I thought it would. My cousin’s fiance, Geoffrey, passed away due to COVID-19 back in May. He always had a smile on his face. He texted my almost everyday. Especially during my 4 different times in hospital over the past year, he texted. Just to cheer me up and make me feel better. Love you and miss you buddy.

Back on course. So as stated I cannot cook in a commercial kitchen due to the fact that most are gas powered. Normally not a problem. But I have to have an oxygen tank as my best friend that goes everywhere with me. So therefore no fire. Well, what about an electric stove and oven. In a restaurant or small food shop I still need to lug around an oxygen tank. At home, where I do most of my cooking now, I don’t have to wear the oxygen as much due to the fact I can go at my own pace. That is why I have not done any videos since July. I will be doing more. Especially since Christmas is coming.

So what am I doing with all this free time you ask. Well, I started getting into 3D printing and laser etching. And even making a little money on the side with. I know that some of the items need a little work but I am happy with the way everything is turning out. So that’s where I am right now. Thanks for reading. #time #christmas #3dprinting #laserengraving
